Joe is an advocate for open source, an evangelist of Journalism, and a dreamer of exciting futures for both. Founder of NewspaperFoundation.org and Foundation board member of LocalMedia.org, Joe now works for Automattic as a Happiness Engineer from his home in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Joe is an avid long-distance runner — his running blog is at crazyrunningguy.com — and often runs into town from the airport when he travels for WordPress events rather than taking transportation such as a taxi or light rail.
